What is FSCD?
What is FSCD?
The Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) program is administered by Alberta Children's Services. It provides funding and supports to families raising children with disabilities — including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
FSCD funding is held by the family, not the clinic. Families work directly with an FSCD caseworker to determine eligibility, funding levels, and approved services. Kids ETC works within the framework of your existing contract to deliver services.

Is your family eligible for FSCD?
To qualify for FSCD funding, your child must be under 18, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and a resident of Alberta. The person applying must be the child's parent or legal guardian. Eligibility and funding levels are determined by Alberta Children's Services — Kids ETC does not assess eligibility, but we're happy to answer questions about how our services fit into an existing or pending contract.
Waitlists for FSCD assessment and funding approval can be lengthy. If your family hasn't applied yet, we recommend starting the process as early as possible.

Please Note
Kids ETC does not provide Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Occupational Therapy (OT) services, and we do not directly bill FSCD or insurance companies. Families are responsible for managing their FSCD contract and payments.
Because FSCD funding rates don’t always cover the full cost of therapy services, a private cost-share may apply even with an active FSCD contract.
If your family has independently hired SLP or OT professionals, our team is happy to collaborate with those providers to ensure consistent, coordinated care for your child.
